300 Fox Way
You’re getting a reading, from a large, dark woman, who’s midnight-purple lips are twisted into a snarl. She doesn’t seem optimistic about what your cards are saying. Another woman, who’s wild black hair seems to have an assortment of twigs and playing cards stuck into it, sits upside down in the chair next to you. She’s chanting, sometimes humming, sometimes cackling. Two teenage girls storm down the hallway, half laughing half murderous, arguing over who the phone is ringing for. There is a framed, autographed, black and white picture of Steve Martin playing a banjo; placed carefully atop a piano in the corner of the room. Another woman passes by you, she has long white hair and seems to float across the ground. As she passes, she places a hand on your head; a blessing. The kettle whistles, and shortly a woman- and older version of one of the teenagers- will bring you cup of tea. It will taste like dirty socks and mouthwash. You need to drink it anyway.
