Of Mice and Men (Final Scene)
This atmosphere is a representation of the final "scene" for the novel Of Mice and Men. George and Lennie are sitting by the river, talking about their hopes of getting their own place with tons of livestock and land. Lennie imagines having the dog he's always wanted and tending to the rabbits. He can hear the cows and chickens as they both imagine their own little paradise. Then George brings Lennie's life to an end and slim walks up after hearing the gun fire.
