Sleep Beyond Measure...
It's 3:00 AM and, after a rather stressful day of preparing for your OWLS, you were more than ready to climb into your four-poster and forget the impending doom of the Ordinary Wizarding Levels. Three out of four of your dorm mates wanted nothing more than to do the same. To your right, there is a window. If you listen past the curtains, fluttering in the gentle breeze that always manages to slip through the old wooden panes, if you ignore the whistling of the wind that famously surrounds the Ravenclaw tower, the sound of the school owls as they hunt during the night, then you can hear them. The soft sound of bedsheets rustling, the gentle creak of a bed frame as they get comfortable, oblivious to the world around them. To your left, however, your final dorm mate couldn't sleep. They are sitting in their bed, pages of parchment clumsily arranged on the mattress before them. You can hear them shuffling their papers as they struggle to comprehend the tragic history of the Goblin Wars. They are quiet, respectful, only the occasional sigh will give away their frustration. Once upon a time, you missed the familiar silence of your old bedroom, the one you spent 11 years in before finally receiving your letter to Hogwarts. Now, you can't sleep without the familiar sounds of your friends, your family. Hogwarts has become your home.
